The Magic of Happiness
Discover how the ancient world of witchcraft can help you find true joy in life and bring a smile to others too! Over the next 4 weeks I will bring you my 'Magically Happy Masterclass'

Week 1 - Set Your Intention
Witchcraft has gained a bad reputation
over the centuries with 'wise women' being portrayed as outsiders and dangerous.
In reality, however, these women often created charms and potions to bring healing, abundance and happiness to others.
Today, times have changed, and many people are now turning to witchcraft to bring about positive changes in their lives and the lives and loved ones.
The following exercises help you dispel negativity and toxic energy from your life by examining the different ways you can give your inner witch a voice and start working with it to generate positivity and happiness.
The basis to working with magic is to believe you can make positive changes - it is vital to have a clear intention. Setting intentions first thing in the morning is a great way to prime your energy for the day. To keep you focused, it can help to write your intentions down, which you could do in a diary or on a piece of paper you can keep with you for the day.
Here are some examples...
"I intend to finish every task that I set myself today"
"I intend to accept whatever happens today as if I have chosen it"
" I intend to channel delight into my every day"
Harness the power of your intention with this incantation.
Sit in a quiet space and light a candle as you repeat the following words:
"Humbly, I call to thee, great cosmic energy. Come to my side and be my guide. I will keep my head up and my heart open. Fill me with motivation. Come to my side and be my guide I call to thee cosmic energy"
Afterwards, spend a moment visualising cosmic energy coursing through your body, before blowing out the candle.
Intentions are the actions you and the universal energies conspire to create.
Remember how you say something can be just as important as what you are saying.
Verbalise it - At the beginning of a spell, remember to speak clearly. You can repeat a spell continuously, chant it or just say it once. You can whisper it or shout it from the rooftops. Do whatever feels right.
Write it down - This can help focus your thoughts and the phrasing of your intent. Be detailed in what your intention is as you write it on the piece of paper. Fold it afterwards to seal your intention.
Think it - Internalising your intention and thinking your intention clearly before a ritual can be just as powerful as the spoken word.
Next week we will look at 'Working with your Intuition'.
